Hi again from Australia,
This is my second post after getting such wonderful help with my first question.

My husbands 3 x Great Grandfather Johan Peter Wennstrom was born on the 1st of Feb 1802 in Klara Stockholm  and I believe I’ve found his baptism record with parents Peter Wennstrom and Christina Kihlberg.  I also have found Peter and Christina’s marriage in October 1794.  From a couple of records I’ve found it appears Peter’s occupation was kusk (which I’m assuming is some sort of hired driver) and I think I found his death in December 1805.  I can’t find any more on Peter or Christina after this date.  I did note a Helena Kihlberg listed on Johan Peter’s baptism.  There is a Christina born to a Lars and Cath Kihlberg in 1771 and her father is also a Kusk but I’m just guessing at this point.  I’ve only found Johan Peter once on household records with both his parents and the next time he is 15 and alone probably starting his study to be a gardener.

My brother in law acquired an old book which shares some information on Johan Peter but nothing about his earlier years.

Then he married Margreta Staaf and had 3 children the first born a daughter who passed away early followed by my husbands ancestor Johan August who came to Australia and lastly Carl who from the fantastic help I received on my first post died when only 23.  So when Johan Peter died in August of 1891 his estate went to those that worked for him as his only living son it seemed he did not know where he was.

Would love some help working out more about Johan Peter’s parents.

Thank you

I’ve attached an article sent to me via the Upsala University and a translated page from the book my brother in law purchased.  There are more pages sharing information about his life as a gardener and his estate and a court battle he had before his death.

Thank you so much this certainly looks like her and her death seems to be in the same area her son is then living.  I will add all this to our family tree and hopefully now we have a birth date might find her family.

Oh thank you … as I can’t read the language I don’t suppose it mentions his parents at all? I can see Johan Peter and his wife’s names.

No birth records that year in Örebro Nicolai parish. But maybe she was born in a parish very close to Örebro.??

Does this give his age at death by chance?  Just seems if the Peter you found as the possible father of Johan Peter he would be quite old? 55 … or was that common? And 17 years older than Christina.

He was 58 when he passed away, which is mentioned in the estate inventory and of course even in the book of deaths and burials. (Screenshot) Of course, I cannot guarantee that I have found the correct date of birth. He was much older than his wife, but maybe it was his second marriage? Btw my own father was 23 years older than my mother ....it was his second marriage, though.

From an index attached to taxation rolls,Peter is a coachman apprentice, "225" refers to a page in a roll, but I am not able to find it.

More and more concerned re. 1747, because there is another man with the same surname who got married in 1776 in Dalarö (not far from Ornö) and the bride is not the one you mentioned.
Look into https://www.ancestry.se/discoveryui-content/view/360995%3A60363
- screenshot )
and also another screenshot  from a clerical survey where it appears the  husband is not at all some kind of coachman! And not residing in Stockholm!!
So we rule out the one Wennström b. 1747 in Ornö. Sorry to confuse you,

Yes I did notice that family yesterday once I changed Peters date of birth.

Seems I finally solve the mystery of Johan Peter Wennstrom and his wife Margreta only to have a new mystery with Peter and Christina  ;D

I do appreciate all your efforts in helping me solve the mystery of this family. Would this occupation see him staying in different areas?  He’s hard to find before he married Christina.
