För räkning Do-Ann Steenberg i USA undrar jag:
If you don't mind me bothering you with yet one more question....here it is. I am also part Finnish. About 1900 and soon thereafter, my Finnish great-grandmother wrote letters to a lady living in Helsinki. They possibly were related, we do not know for sure. Anyway, they wrote about how times were so much more difficult in VRAAKHOLM (spelling?). I believe many Finnish communities also have Swedish names. A member of a Finnish Consul in Seattle, Washington helped translate the letters for me several years ago. He could not be 100% certain of the spelling of that community. The era of VRAAKHOLM would have been circa 1859-1880 or so. My great-grandmother was raised by a Swedish minister's family after her parents died about 1857 and 1860. I suspect this was in Finland, but am not positive. So, my question...do you know of a source where I could try to find out where this community was? I've tried to find clues on the Internet, but not successful as
Kan någon tipsa mig/henne om detta -
