John A Nystrom anländer 18 maj 1903 till New York, han ska till brodern Rubin Nystrom, Stanton, Iowa.

1910 finns en familj Herman och Annie Gustafson i East Chicago,Lake, Indiana. De har en son Levy 8 år. Hon har fött 6 barn och ett lever. Maken är snickare. Bor granne med en August Gustafson från Sverige.

1920 finns en snickare vid namn Herman Gustafson, visserligen anges födelseår 1875, men det kan vara han. Ha är frånskild. 1930 stämmer födelseåret och han är inneboende i HAmmond, LAke, Indiana

Wow, fantastic - how do you do this magic!?!

Levi would be my grandfathers cousin and this means that Levi´s children, (my mothers second cousins), still could be alive?
Does it means that Howard Gustafson is borned the 11:th of december 1930?

How/what can I do to search further for the deceased Gustafsons in OAK HILL, HAMMOND?

I´ve just found out that Anna Gustafsson lived at this adress in 1936:
15 w Erie Street, Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Is it possible to find anything more about the children, like if they had any families ore of course if the may still be alive?

Does it means that Howard Gustafson is borned the 11:th of december 1930?

U.S. censuses only provide an age (except for 1900, when that census also provided a month and year of birth). Howard was 11/12 of a year old, so that means he was eleven months old at the time of the census enumeration. This is NOT a specific date of birth.

If you check the actual census form, you will find the date of enumeration. You have to go back eleven months from that date to find when Howard was born.

I looked on Ancestry.com and found that family in the 1930 census. I know you have this information already, but I'm looking for the date of the enumeration.

The enumerator didn't write the date of enumeration on this particular page, but the census form says that the information is supposed to be for 1 April 1930. Of course the enumerator could not possibly visit every home on that date.

Based on the 1 April date, I suppose that Howard was born about May 1929.

Hej, vill bara tacka er som svarade ovan för att jag nu har fått kontakt med levande ättlingar till Anna Nyström!!!

Dessutom hoppas jag att denna puff kanske leder till att någon hittar något mer för de två brödraparen som jag också efterfrågar här ovan. Jag nu fått reda på att Olof Ruben Nyström använde efternamnet Wilzon 1928.

Tilläggas bör, (för att undvika dubbeljobb), att jag precis lagt in ett fotografi nedan som jag hoppas kan ha med någon av dessa Nyströmmare att göra.

Något som inte stämmer riktigt är att han anges vara född i mars 1847. Däremot stämmer det angivna invandringsåret, 1879.

Lars Anton Nystrom anges vara född 10-20-1847 i Over Lules Sweden. Föräldrarnas namn anges till John Olof Nystrom, Heden Sweden, och Catherine Laistrom, Heden Sweden.
Det angivna födelsedatumet stämmer inte, men Over Lules bör väl avse Överluleå, och Heden stämmer med dina uppgifter.
