Good Morning,
I am looking for Calle Bjork,or as we knew him, Charley Byrch.  Calle was born 7 July 1854, Ekenas,Frändefors, Älsvborg,Sweden.  His parents were;  Olof Bjork (B:2 Apr 1814 Berg, Frändefors)and Annika(Annaka)Larsdotter.(B: 16 Mar 1810, Ekenas).Calle had 5 other sibilings, Anders, Anna Katrina, Maja Lisa, Christine, and Olof.
I have chased them all thru Frändefors, with Calle ending up in Karsbol Norra, Frändefors. GenLine GID #790.45.40000,Alvsborg, Frändefors A1:23 Household examination for 1871-1875 440/0. He is with his Father Olof and step mother Anna Jonasdr, brother Olof and possibly a step sister, Anna Carlysdr.  Both Calle and his brother Olof have a line thru their name.  However it does not say were they went.
I also know, that Calle finally ends up somewhere in Norway and marries Gerune Gundersdatter, (B: abt Sept 1852), about 1877, somewhere in Norway.
Calle and Gerune and one daughter,Anna C. got to the USA in 1888, stayed 2 years in Chicago, Il then went to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Isabella in Delta County.
I am wondering if anyone would be able to help me find where CAlle went when he left Karsbol Norra,Frändefors, Sweden. And where he may have ended up in Norway.  It also appears that Gerune's sister, Anna Gundersdatter may also traveled with them to the US. Would anyone be able to tell me which port they left from and arrived at? I also have not been able to find Calle's and Gerunes's marriage or the birth of Gerune.  One clue I have is that Gerunes's sister Anna may have been born in Nissedal, Telemark, Norway.
Thank you all so very much for taking a look at my post.

Hej Karen!

It says infra in the 1871-75 register for both Calle and Olof, meaning they moved within the same village, and you will find both of them at the bottom of the same page except both are called Olsson.  Olof moves out from the 6/11 1874, I think it says S Ryd.  1876-1880 you will find Calle at page 351, GID 790.53.55800 at the same place living with his widowed mother, and 1881-1885 they are on page 350 (GID 790.49.3500).  Calle moves out from there 1/4 1882 to Norige/Norway.

mvh,
-Carl

Hej

I came to a somewhat different solution.
The note Infra means moved within the parish = following years.
I followed Calle to AI:27 1881- 1885 where it tells he moves to Norway 1 April 1882. He is callled Calle Olsson. He is living with his stepmother Anna Jonsdotter. A note tells he is bräcklig. I think it means he is not so strong in some respect.
Looking For Calle Olsson in the emigration CD Emibas gives

Dear Carl and Arne,
Thank you so very much for your help and quick response.  I never thought I would ever find him again.  I do not read nor write Swedish so I miss the little things that would lead me in the right direction.  I have been looking for Calle for over 15 years and with the kind help of folks like you I have been put back on the right road again.

I have a picture of Calle and he does look a very small frail man.  He was probably only 5 feet 4 or 5 inches tall.  His only son was over 6 feet tall.

Thank you again
Karen
