I was wondering if anyone could help me locate my relatives in Småland,Sweden? There were five brothers that came here in the late 1800's and I would like to get a link on them. My grandfather was J. Edwin Johnson and his brother Ernest, I believe came here together. Before they came here, there were three other brothers that came just before and after. There names were Robert, Algot and John Johnson or Johansson I believe. Could anyone please help me?

Thanks alot!

I almost forgot to add J. Edwins birth was in 1882 and he died in Minnesota in 1950. I also do not know his first real name as all we have is J. Edwin Johnson. His brother Ernest was born in 1877 and died here in Minnesota in 1959. Thanks again!

Ted,

If this is them which it seems to be apparent, is it common in Sweden to have two sons born with the first name the same such as Johan? We knew of one but not two John's or Johan's. I was also wondering if you know, did all of them come here to the USA together in the latter 1880's or 1890's and if possible any of the ones that stayed in Sweden, are they buried at Sodra Ljunga parish in Sweden? I was wondering also about Sommarsate Sodergard, is that a town? Thank you for your reply!
