I am looking for information on my Grandfather, Johan Harry Bergman born 1893 in Sweden, possible Stockholm. Came to the United States in 1912 with occupation as cook/artist. Lived in Omaha Nebraska most of his life and was told he had a brother that still lived in Stockholm who was a shoemaker. Possible that he is the same Johan Bergman that is on the emigrant CD that parish is  Stockholm Stad County:A, sailing from the port of Goteborg on 10/11/1912. Was told that there was Swedish relatives who came from Sweden looking for my father but they were unable to find him at the time.

Maud,  Thank you so much for your information.  The date of his birth agrees with the social security records that I have. Yes, any information you can give me on living relatives would be greatly appreciated.  I did notice that his mother's name was Betty, which is also the name of his daughter.  thanks again and I will be waiting to hear from you. Jean
