Most of my male ancestors are blacksmiths and these families mostly married each other. My fathers fathers fathers mothers fathers sister Maria married a blacksmith named Anders Loman born 1744. Patronymikon (not used) Jonasson. They lived in Värmland.
They got married 1766 in Fryksände parish and Anders was then blacksmith at Vägsjöfors bruk. They later moved to Oleby bruk also in Fryksände.
Maria died in 1782 and the family at that time lived at Rexed bruk. Gunnarskog.
Anders father was Jonas Loman born 1714. Died 21 february 1773 at Oleby bruk, Fryksände, 59 years of age.
Jonas father was Johan Hansson Loman born 1677. Died 1734 in Stavsnäs, Värmland. 80 years old.
In 1709 Johan buys a farmhouse, Stensgård, in Fryksände. (From Fryksdals Härads Domböcker 1701-1725). Mentioned in Fryks.H.D. 1731, last time.
Johans father was Hans Andersson Loman born at Lindås, Södermanland. Mentioned in Frykdals H.D. in 1711 and 1712. He then worked at Oleby bruk, as did his son Johan above.
Wife 1 name Kierstin (Kjerstin, Kerstin)
wife 2 name Margreta (Margeta, Margareta)
All men above were blacksmiths. And the name is Loman without the ending -s. Sometimes there can be Lohman, but the extra -h- means nothing.
All information given here has to be considered as loose ends. I can not guarentee any thruth, I have not checked anything as the Lomans are not my first priority.
Johannes, Johan, Hans are the same name, only different forms. Anders and Johan seem to be names in every generation of the Loman family.
If you have a Swedish map you can see that there is not far from Södermanlands län through Örebro län to Värmlands län.
So, good luck!
