Hello from Finland!
I have research Haring family here in Finland and I have found out that first Haring, Lars Henriksson Haring, is mentioned in the year of 1598 in the area of Leppävirta.
We have made Y-DNA research from Finnish Haring family members and we belong to haplogroup N-Z1940 (Karelian group). From that we can say that Finnish Haring's are not related to for example other Haring families living in Europe or USA. But how about Sweden, that we don't know because I haven't found any information from tested Haring families living in Sweden.
I know that there have been Haring family members living in Sweden at least from beginning of 1600's. For example in Stockholm Philip Haring got married in 10.11.1645 with Margareta Olofsdotter. Also in Stockholm Petter Haring got two children; Karin b. 20.2.1687 and Petrus b. 31.1.1691. In Atvik Östergotland there has lived Lars Eriksson Haring (b.a. 1665, d. 1740) and from his side Haring family has probably lived up to the present time.
So I would like to find some person who has research Haring family in Sweden. For me it would be important to find out are Finnish Haring's and Swedish Haring's related to each other.
If someone could help me for that then that would mean a lot to me!
Best regards
