Hi Ron,
I found Peter and Saras son, Per Gustaf, in the Birth Records.
V Harg parish, Birth Records, 1853
23 January, Babtist 23 January Per Gustaf, parents: Brukaren crofter Peter Andersson and Wife Sara Christina Göransdotter in Uddarp, ABS!
It is noted ABS! or OBS! and I think it will be ABS! that is a shortening of absolution. Perhaps the mother Sara got an absolution because she was pregnant before her marrige.
V Harg parish, Mariage Records, 1852
29 December, bridgeroom Peter Andersson, farmerhand, Bo village/farm
Bride Sara Christina Göransdotter, daughter of the crofter Göran Jacobsson, Asby parish
Sara and Peter was marriage just a month before Sara delivered her son. The answer of this mistery you got if you check the Death Records of Peter
V Harg parish, Death Records, 1853
18 April, buried 24 April, Crofter/tenant in Uddarp, born 15 May 1820 in Ekeby, married 1852 with surviving Sara Christina Göransdotter. Leave an adopted son, cause of death was breastfever, 33 years of age.
I think these records show clearly that Per Gustaf was adopted by Peter. It is not often you will see it distinctly like this, but in this case the priest noted an important information for us, both in the Birth Records och the Death Records.
Note also that Asby parish is not in Västra Harg. Asby is about 20 kilometres south of V Harg. I have written a little about this parish in my my homepage
