Olof Pehrsson immigrated to Galva North America

My grandmothers grandfathers brother immigrated to what I have been told Galva North America. His name was Olof Pehrsson born 14/3-1865 in ovanåker, Sweden.  He left Sweden from Gothenburg 2/9-1881 (1881-02-09).
He took the ship Romeo and his first destination was HULL in England. I would be glad for all help I can get.

Galva is in western Illinois, not far from Rock Island and Moline, and is a town with lots of Swedes still. The local genealogical society is the following:

Swenson Swedish Immigration Center here in town has the films for the churches in Galva, IL.  There was no church in Galva, IA.

I checked the lutheran church for Galva, IL and did not find them.  The film had no index so I searched page by page.
 
If he did go to Galva, IA, then perhaps that website given you above will be of use.  Only about 35% of emigrants joined a church in this country.
