Carl and family shown at GID  1724.12.39900.

They reside a place called Forsby.

what is also interesting is that when yoo look into the birth record they mention a godmother Ola Svens hustru Cecilia Forslund i Röstånga  - so we have a Forslund here. But coming from Forsby - why not take last name Forslund??

The note is something crossed out and hos Hellström (with Hellström / at Hellström's). Perhaps he worked and/or lived at Hellström's farm or shop or something.

He moved to Westra, presumably Nyköpings Västra parish.

Hi Bo,
I can't find him in the immigration records for Nyköpings Västra.

Perhaps I could request a lookup in the 1890 census and trace him backwards?

regards,

Al

Hi Mats,

It is the correct Johan Erik. The birth date is correct and one of the witnesses, C.A.Norstedt, is his brother-in-law, who was married to his sister Augusta Amalia.

Thank you for your help,

kindest regards,

Al

Emigration look up please:

Johan Erik Jansson (born 25 Aug 1841 in Nyköping Västra) married
Anna Christina Elisabeth Nordstedt (10 Jun 1850 in Katherina, Stockholm) on 5 May 1872 in Maria Magdalena, Stockholm.

As Johan Erik does not appear in the 1890 census he must have emigrated or died?

God Morgan Mats,

Thank you for the update on the Jansson family in the 1900 census.

Johan Erik Jansson (born 25 Aug 1841 in Nyköping Västra) must have been away from home in the 1900 census? If he had died his wife, Anna Kristina Elisabet, would be listed as a widow?

Also his other two sons, Thure Erik Jansson (born 24 Aug 1874 in Maria Magdalena) and Johan Arthur (born 20 Dec 1875 in Maria Magdalena) must have moved out of the family home.

Kindest regards,

Al

Genline help please:

In GID: 110.24.42000, line 4, Eric Alfrid Nilsson (born 26 Jun 1855 in Bergshammar, Södermanland) moved from his parents home to Nyköping Västra on 26 October 1874. I cannot find him there as there are no immigration records for that time on Genline. He does not appear in the 1890 census. I presume he must have emigrated overseas or died?

Any help much appreciated,

Hi Al,

I found the family (whats left of it) at GID: 2171.14.103800, page 66.

As you can see Lars's wife is shown as being a widow and she only has her two sons living with her. The daughter Anna Brita died on July 13 1808, Death record, GID: 2171.3.54400.
I tried to find a death record for Lars but have not found one.

Hope this helps!

Have a nice day!

Hi Sam & Judy,

Thanks for your information.

I have found Per Andersson (born 13 Apr 1770 in Polen, Husby Oppunda) at Flåsta in Husby-Oppunda and have followed him up to 1812 where he lived at Frölöten with his wife and five children (GID: 64.18.23600). However they do not appear there in the next HFL register.

I have also found his brother, Erik Andersson (born 27 March 1762 in Husby Oppunda), at Vevelsta and have followed him up to 1897 where he lived at Flåsta with his wife and two children (GID: 64.17.5800). They then move to Raby but there are no immigration registers to follow him.

Much appreciate all your help,

Kindest regards,

Al
